Hey Bill, I bought $1000's of dollars worth of decals off of Max(govcars) and I asked him last year that I was looking for 1/18 Bill Bozo Colorado State Police decals. He emailed back and said yes, he has them and how many sets did I need. I started out with 3 sets, I waited awhile a and decided I needed 3 more sets so I bought them as BillBozo decals. I should have waited to get the first sets but when I got the first set of decals they where sh*t. I contacted Max and he wouldn't email me back. I then recieved the next batch and the same along with Chicago decals that were copies of your decals. So just those 2 orders was $150.00 and I couldn't use them. I have emailed him time after time and nothing. I can see why he left Ebay! Maybe a class action law suit would do the trick! I have 100's of his decals that can't be used for anything, not even good enough to whip my butt!! Undecided If you need any of his samples let me know! Thanks. Frank

Thanks for letting me know Frank and sorry to hear about your experience with Max. I can't tell how many horror stories I have heard about this guy.  I see you are getting the decals now from Jeff at PoliceCarModels which is great.  If you see on PoliceCarModels, ConroysCruisers, ClassicHobby (These are the only official distributors) and on my website www.bilbozodecals.com...   I now have an official seal to indicate they are genuine decals that come from me only.  If you don't see the Silver and Gold GENUINE BILBOZO DECALS Badge & Seal, they are likely counterfeits.  I know a lot of people sometimes sell some of my decals on Ebay get rid of old private inventory, so not all cases could they be fakes.

Max is still in operation with his website at www.govcars.us but pretty well only has my decals he is counterfeiting on his site ( a few of DSO109's and CanadianPoliceCars too I think).  Since I am in Canada I can't do much.  If there was a class suit it would have to come from U.S. Customers who have been mis-represented.  HOWEVER After speaking to my lawyer regarding this....Since my name and logos are Registered Trademarks, I can nail him internationally by copyright, not by the decals but by use of my brand name.  If he's still selling counterfeits of my decals and telling people that they are mine, we have a case.  To keep the story short, if you or anyone has any correspondence of him guaranteeing they are Bilbozo Decals, by emails, my lawyer and I would definately like to see that.  If you or anyone have anything like that, please email me a copy.  It would be most appreciated and maybe we can put a stop to this guy ripping off nice hard-working people like yourself. Cheers and take good care !

When I started with custom building, last summer, I bought some by Max, 6 decalsets. He sold them to me as official Bilbozo decals. I had no idea at that moment... But I started searching to an official site of Bilbozo decals, and somewhere I found Bill's name and email. So luckly I found Bill fast, or else I would have bought more of this Max... I've here three cars with decals of him, and if you compare them with the real Bilbozo decals they are very crappy Angry

(Bill, is there something wrong with my email? I don't recieve anything more from you Huh)

Hello Gerwin:

Thanks very much for you and Mike for sending the counterfeit samples for my records.  I was very helpful and yes they were very crappy quality, useless.  Selling them with my name on them and selling Chris's decals was a very dirty dishonest thing to do.  I noticed this thread has over 3000 views. Thank goodness for sites like this to help everyone to keep informed.  I have just sent you an email Gerwin.  Please check your email. Cheers and thanks

That site has been up for awhile and Bill posted the link to it if you read a few posts up.  Bill pointed out the only "authorized dealers" for his decals in his post as well.  That guy still sells the decals, he just doesn't advertise them as "Bilbozo" decals anymore.  There is no way that Bill would sell decals to that guy!

Bill and other decal makers i have a question for you. Before finding this site and hearing about you terrific decals which ive gotten from Policecarmodels.com, i had just one set of my father's Dept made by a local but he doesnt make them anymore. Before any decals were made i had to get letters from the Cheif and the town saying it was ok to make the decals. Ive heard about some Depts. stopping the selling of their decals you made. Out of curiosity did Max reproduce any of the decals that the Depts. stop? If so i dont think a call to the such Depts. would hurt you, just informing them of the decals made and sold after the stopping order. Just my 2 cents. Sorry for the bad grammer and sentences up all night studying for tests but had to reply.   Ian

The only problem with that is...if a Dept. doesn't want their decals out there, then NO decal maker can make them...not just one guy, and they will have to stop selling them.  We sure don't want to open up that can of worms...Then none of us will get any cool decals anymore

There are quite a few that fall into that category, like the LAPD.  For instance I don't sell the RCMP Decals anymore, mainly because James at CanadianPoliceCars has the official liscensing now.  A few years before James got the rights I sold some sets to Max and sure enough they are for sale on his site, so he's making cheap photocopies of my old RCMP decals I sold him. RCMP is extremely strict on this issue and no one except James is allowed to make them now.  You get a call from HQ, one cease and desist and then if you don't comply, the seek legal action immediately. They don't fool around. Max is aware of this and still sells them. Perhaps someone should let James at CanadianPoliceCars know ?  James could contact the RCMP Intellectual Property Division to get them to respond to Max.

I see what you mean Troy, and Bill sounds like a great idea to give James a call and let him know about that. And if there are any other cases where one decal maker has the rights and Max is selling conterfits do it again.

As of a few minutes ago Bill I check Wiseassandsucks website and he is still showing the RCMP ( http://www.govcars.us/rcmp-canada-118-scale-sh118.html ) so I will forward this information to James and see if he can direct it further.
