I would like to produce decals sheets for some of the European Countries, in 1/43rd scale.

Including

Austria, Luxembourg, Belgium, Netherlands and perhaps France and Germany.

Each decal sheet would have enough decals to produce one model so the decals would have to be generic that could be trimmed to suit any model.

Would you be interested in these decals?

The decals would be screen printed with correct colours and I expect the price to be about £5 per decal sheet.

If you have any photographs that would be helpful (close-up of badges etc) then please post them here.

Thank you

David

it could be a really idea especially for European modelers.... if you want I can post your message on the French version forum.
If each decal set could make two models it would be more interesting  ( just my opinion )...

cops119, any feedback would be grateful from French modellers.

I could produce a French sheet that includes the National Police and the Gendarmerie markings.

Unfortunately they already have many version of Western European models from less sophisticated like Cararama to better (and more expensive) Vitesse, Corgi, J-Collection etc.  How about looking at some of the models rarely made - Portugal, Greece, Bulgaria, Turkey, Malta, Cyprus, Former Yugoslavian republics, Ukraine etc.  You can also look as South American, Asian and African states.
You can find many photos on

Hi David,

just found that nice pics of new BMW 525d Touring for the Hessen Highway Patrol in Germany! Looks very nice with the new blue Graphics and the reflecting yellow stripes!! That would be a nice decal set for the Kyosho/BMW model. I'm sure that there a lot of "Polizei" graphics in Germany for that car so you can make a set for misc. models. If you want I can send you pics of a 525d Touring that is on duty here in my hometown.

Hey Tom...

In looking over those photographs...  I am just curious, are those warning lights mounted on some kind of plate over the sunroof...? ? ?   If so, why do they bother getting cars with sunroofs ??   Would I be safe in assuming that it is to make the cars more valuable for resale after they are finished with their police duty..??

That explains it...  nice idea too.  Some departments over here are doing that as well though I am not sure of the number.

Thanks Mike.
