Gday Everyone!

Well this is my first post in diecast police cars and thread, just joined up,along with a few other diecast forums to see and talk about whats out their with like minded people.Im a bit of a Newby to diecast collecting, just recently in the last 6 months getting into collecting and modifying, and thorougly loving it.Seen some nice rides in this forum also.

At this stage all im currently interested in is 1/18 scale Australian Police cars.
I currently own 3:- 1x Marked BA Ford Queensland Police car
- 1x Unmarked BA Ford Police car
- 1x marked VT Holden Commodore Police car

All of my cars have flashing lights and current accurate decals.Ive also created a Diorama with them. For several weeks i tried to hunt down both on the net and hobby/toy shops for detailed 1/18 police figurines but their was nothing really out their,so i created my own.I bought a dozen plus various figurines, put them through the chop shop, painted them, created duty belts with holstered guns, batons, flashlights, radios with pigtail extensions running up over the shoulder and various pouches.
My diorama is FAR from finished as i wish to get as much detail from it as possible, especially after seeing the detail some have gone to with their cars and diorama's,very impressed.

Well heres my cars and diorama, theirs 1 car not displayed in this diorama as the third one of mine was not completed till after i made the vid,to see all 3 cars in diorama just check out my other vids on youtube

Very nice job!  Must have been a very long pursuit if it involved patrol cars from Queensland and Western Australia!   Cheesy

Detailing of the figures and cars, plus the placement looks very realistic. I can almost hear Officer Goose saying "well Max, another Yank driving on the wrong side of the road".

Great to see another Aussie on this forum. Nice work with the diorama. The Autoart/Biante cars are very accurate models. It was a shame that they stopped making police cars! I know that Biante founder and owner Trevor Young was very keen to see more Aussie police cars done in all of Biantie's scales 1/18, 1/43 and 1/64. Sadly Trevor passed away around 4 years ago due to cancer. The company was sold and there has been no mention of any further police cars coming from them. Their bread and butter is the Australian Touring Car replicas.

The main car in the shot is the Western Australian Police Service Holden Commodore that was made by Biante/Auto Art a few years back. I have seen them still available on Ebay etc. The other marked police car is a Biante/Auto Art Ford Falcon. This one is an extremely good custom build. No factory police versions were ever done by Biante/Auto Art. Both cars are 1/18 scale.
