Nice detailing for sure.  They spent some good time tooling this one.  The headlights are fantastic and very realistic.

I'm with Mike and MrTheFrisco on this...   Bring on the 1:18th scale Tahoe!!!   I wouldn't mind an accurate 1:24th scale either.  Cool

The Chinese welly site showed the 1/18 in an all black "security" model, but not sure exactly what the final product will be, the picture online is a stock Chevy picture I think. As for the white version, they originally sent me images of an all white generic "Police" version (might be another stock Chevy image) but I told them most people would want just a blank white model, the less markings to have to strip the better - so they came back with the image shown above.

I am pretty sure that the 1/24 WILL be 1/27 (sorry---), but they are supposed to be working on 1/18 and 1/43 (actually 1/38 usually with welly - boy they love FTB (Fit The Box scales)).

Anyhow, I will post as much information as I get from them - maybe we will see one scale before the end of the year!

Jeff @ www.policecarmodels.com

Oh, all black../ don't know but I will ask! They are also working on a black and white version of their 1/18 Police Charger.

Thank you for that information Jeff.  Good to know that they are still planning on that 1:18th.  I personally have a special need for that one... especially in black.

As for 1:43rd...  I'm counting on Dennis and his FRR Tahoe for a high quality replica.  As for FTB well, IMHO they can FTB.      Shocked  Wink

Jeff,
This is great news!  Why just the other day, I was driving around town, looking at the new Tahoes, and wondering what kits I would need to do a conversion of a current Tahoe.  I am not much of a "sculptor", so I appreciate the fact that that part will be already done.  I build in mostly 1/24-1/25 scale, so the scale mentioned is great.  Thanks for sharing this info.  Can't wait!

The Welly website lists a:
1:24 SECURITY
2008 CHEVROLET TAHOE
22509BP

and

22509WP

Looking at the codes, maybe a White version and Black one?

The Welly part numbers are a big cluster----! For example their 1/18 Suburban has the "W" in the part number, then dash and then the color (white, black...)

The 1/27 (sorry folks, yes it is 1/27!) should be all white. I have told them they will sell better blank with no markings, the "Security" version online is a stock photo.

We should see the blank white 1/27 soon - other scales and colors to hopefully follow...

I will post more information here when I get it from Welly.

You can be assured ours will be true 1/43. I'm more concerned with a valid scale that existing decals and parts can fit rather than how many can I fit into a container. That said, a true 1/18th in this would be super.
