The Colorado State Patrol will observe their 75th Anniversary in 2010. As part of the commemoration, their new 2010 Chargers will be marked in a retro style two tone black & silver paint scheme with specific Anniversary graphics.

While at the IACP Conference, a member of their command staff approached me about replicating this in model form for them. I just received an image of the design and files of the Anniversary markings and it's one sharp design.

We're going to do it for them with a scheduled release around late March, early April. Timed to coincide about when the actual cars go into service.

It will be a Premier, in a CSP specific package. I'm pleased to announce they will also work with us through our dealers to make them available to collectors. Once I'm permitted to post the design I'll do so.

Dennis...You're such a tease!   Grin  Looks like I'll have to push another car to the back of the display case to make room for this one.

Thanks Dennis. It looks to be a very good 2010 coming up for the police diecast collector.

"...I'm pleased to announce they will also work with us through our dealers to make them available to collectors..."

No doubt a direct result of the persuasiveness of our man Dennis, for without his efforts we would just be hoping to stumble onto a few of these, instead they will be available to all.  Excellent work there Dennis... indeed a Coup...  Smiley Wink Cool

Below are photos of the Colorado State Patrol's first marked prototype Charger featuring their 75th Anniversary markings along with a photo of our first prototype. This was a rather unusual project in that our artwork layout from their concept, actually helped them finalize the actual cruier design which, I believe is a first for a police car model company. The model was done and accepted before the actual car had ever been marked.

The actual car seen here will have the door shields replaced to replicate the silver and not white shown in the shield. Additionally, the front door molding will be removed or cut out so the shield lays flat without wrapping over the molding.
