Ducky, such clutter (tisk tisk). Don't you just dispise that there is no place to put the printer. I drive an Explorer, so I have the rear 2/5th seat strapped down, and a board securing my printer, First Aid, and other stuff out of the way. Before I installed board, printer would fly off front seat at every stop. Whoever can design an in dash glovebox printer will make a mint.

I should have noted that the printer is a mini dot-matrix style fastened on the cage between the seats....not the best for officer safety, but still faster than hand writing multiple cites. We also use them for Notices to Appear, warnings, Driver Exchanges (crashes) and impound forms.
Don't forget the stuff we carry in the trunk, with ERT gear, report forms, flares, tools, AR15s, 37mm gas guns, cones, gloves, first aid kits, Stop sticks, Biohazard outfits, in car video hard drives... (I could still go on)
Slightly off topic, something for all of us to ponder, what are we going to do with our stuff when the mandatory side airbags come into play in the next couple of years. Our garage guys are already trying to find a way to fit a cage around the expected airbag placements.....

What equipment. In Belgium it's not possible to have this. There are too much thiefs. Three weeks ago there were only one removable rotator lamp in an unmarked car and someone broke the window. He robbed the personnal computer and the personnal camera digital which were in the trunk too. It's not difficult to make a custom... All interiors are empty ... We have even not radio into the car. Everybody has only a portable radio. You can't let a car without surveillance. What a disgrace!
