For those who haven't seen these in person yet, I thought it would be nice to do a little review to show off some of the new details with this car, and to showcase how FRR continues to listen to it's customers, and impove on an already outstanding product.

This car is pretty much the California standard.  We'll start with the back of the car.  The rear taillights have been modified from the previous releases to include the new reverse light lenses.  You'll notice that the newer "Dodge" and "Charger" script emblems have been added on the trunk.  Here's my favorite...Both the front and rear license plate brackets are white!  Why is this important?  Well, many of the aftermarket decals are printed on clear paper.  If you try to apply a license plate decal on the previous black bracket, you can't see the decal.  I always applied a white decal first and then the license plate.  Don't have to do that anymore.  Wink

There is a rear window LED light package already mounted.

Both driver and passenger side spotlights are already mounted, and the stock doors have NO molding on them...Perfect!

The push bumpers are already mounted and the lights are pre-painted silver, which can easily be painted with clear red and blue paints.

If you want doors with the side molding on them, well the car comes with those as well, pre-painted of course.  You will have to use the existing mirrors and interior door pieces.  Even though the car has the push bumpers, spotlights mounted, you still get the complete parts pack with additional lights, bumpers, antennas. light bars, etc.

Say what you will about Gearbox (which will not be producing anymore police cars), Welly, etc. But we have NEVER seen this kind of detail from a 1/43 police die-cast company.  Did Gearbox ever listen and improve?  Did we have a forum to talk to them?  Welly is Welly...You get what you pay for.  For the price, nobody compares to the quality and accessories that we have seen in the past 2 years from FRR.

Now you might say, "what if I don't want those parts alrady installed on the car"?  These cars are made for the "experienced" custom builder.  Anybody out there who has worked with these cars should have more than enough spare parts, tools, and skill to easily the modify the car to your taste.

NO...I didn't get any free cars to write this review, as some might be quick to point out (believe me, it's happened in the past).  I was just very impressed with the changes that I saw with this latest release, and I'd thought I'd pass along the info.

Happy Building!

In the third photo, it looks like there is a large gap between the front door and front fender.  It's not really there.  My camera flash just lit up that area making the gap look more pronounced than it really is.  The doors fit and line up just fine.

Troy, Thanks for the report.

I haven't been doing this as long as most but i do see the difference in service with Dennis. Anyone who sends you a spare trunk that got destroyed is all about customer service.

Thanks again Dennis Smiley  VR Earle
